3/13 Rockies 2, Cubs 0

Troy Tulowitzki had two hits, including a RBI double, and added a sacrifice fly to lift the Rockies to a 2-0 victory Wednesday over the Cubs. Tulowitzki doubled with one on and one out in the first to give the Rockies a quick lead. The Cubs loaded the bases with two outs in their half but Jorge De La Rosa struck out Dioner Navarro to end the inning. The Cubs loaded the bases again in the third, aided by a single by Starlin Castro, who has been sidelined since Feb. 27 because of a tight left hamstring. But De La Rosa escaped again, striking out Alfonso Soriano and Scott Hairston and getting Dioner Navarro to fly out.

* Up next: Chris Rusin, who is projected for Triple-A Iowa’s rotation, will start Thursday when the Cubs travel to Glendale to face the Dodgers. This will be Rusin’s fourth Cactus League game and second start. In eight innings, he’s given up one run on seven hits and not walked a batter. He started March 9 against the Indians and gave up three hits over three scoreless innings. The game will be broadcast on Cubs.com.

Too bad Navarro wasn’t in Sorianoo’s spot in the order, at least he put the bat on the ball with the bases loaded and would have had a sac fly but making contact isn’t Sorianoo’s game…it’s swinging for the grandslam…..

right because why wouldn’t we have our backup catcher hitting for Soriano… makes total sense… your knowledge is endless

C’mon Cubs! Let’s get some wins!! I guess it’s probably because a lot of our players aren’t there. *cough**cough**Rizzo**Cough**CHOUGH*
