Hate to see Baez go! He has been great to watch and I hope to see him again sooner rather than later.
I like Lillibridge,Hairston too! Anyone think Hairston might beat out DeJesus?
Just my opinion, but Hairston has no chance of beating out DeJesus. Compare their OBP’s. Hairston has a very low OBP, I was very surprised they even signed him, however his OBP goes way up against LH pitching. So guessing of course, I would guess Hairston will be platooning in RF with Scherholtz.
I think you can throw all the outfielders in the same group and come up with very replacable outfielders. With this bunch it doesn’t really come down to who is the slightly better, mediocre, time buying outfileder. They all have more deficiencies than attributes.
Just learned yesterday that Dave Sappelt played his college baseball at Coastal Carolina University. That campus is just a few miles up the road from where I`m living in S. Carolina.
