4/4 Minor matters

* Class A Kane County has added infielder Wes Darvill to the roster, and infielder David Bote was sent to extended Spring Training. Also, catcher Yaniel Cabezas has been placed on the disabled list. The Cougars’ roster was at 25 heading into the season opener against Quad Cities Thursday. Darvill, picked in the fifth round in 2009, batted .224 with Class-A Peoria last year.

* Double-A Tennessee announced infielder Tim Torres has been added to the active roster. In a corresponding move, infielder Anthony Giansanti was placed on the disabled list. Torres, 29, joins the Smokies for the first time. Last year, he played with the Rockies’ Double-A affiliate Tulsa, and hit .226 with three home runs and 23 RBIs.
Giansanti, 24, hit a combined .264 in 36 games with three different teams (Peoria, Arizona Cubs, and Daytona).

Where did Shawon Dunston Jr. end up?

I’m guessing he’s at extended spring training in Arizona and will probably start play this year in June at Boise.

You’re right, thanks.
