4/10 Cubs vs Brewers, ppd

Wednesday’s game between the Cubs and Brewers was postponed because of inclement weather and rescheduled for July 30 at 1:20 p.m. CT as part of a day-night doubleheader.
Tickets for Wednesday’s postponed game will be good for admission to the make-up game at 1:20 p.m. CT. The regularly-scheduled 7:05 p.m. contest will follow. The game was postponed because of the forecast for rain and sub-freezing wind chills throughout the evening.

I read that Barney won’t be back until next week. Since it had been announced that he was to receive his Gold Glove at April 13th game I am wondering how that will be handled now. Anyone know?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You two are so mean!!!!!! LOL

Nice to see Marmol win,Fuji save. Nice comeback,I really like Valbuena whata u guys think?

ray fritz, I am waiting for Ian Stewart to get back to 3rd. We didn’t get to see much of him last season and with his bad wrist I don’t think we saw what he can do. Now that the wrist is well healed and I have heard that he is hitting up a storm in Mesa maybe he can be the 3rd baseman we are looking for. I like Valbuena, too. He has done very well at defense. Guess we will just have to wait and see what happens when Stewart gets back.

Boy White, I applaud your optimism regarding Ian Stewart…but he is STILL Ian Stewart and even his “healthy” years with Colorado, his career stats are not impressive and leave us no reason to expect much production from him POST INJURY. A career .232 ba, .319 OBP, 442 SO’s in 1,421 AB’s with only 204 RBI and 59 HR’s…..this guy will not be the answer nor should he be. He is just a more expensive fill-in than what Hoystein should have acquired. To date this would have to be considered Hoystein’s biggest boo boo and we have no reason to think Stewart will “bounce back” and be better than…well….Ian Stewart.

Not so….I think rule # 7.6875.1.44 “The deep lacerated knee cap” rule states that all Gold Glove awards must now be given to Alfonso Soriano since he is…well…you know…THE BEST DAMN DEFENSIVE PLAYER EVER TO DON A BASEBALL UNIFORM. Too bad for Barney….
