4/15 Minor matters

* Chris Rusin gave up one run on four hits over seven innings in Iowa’s 4-1 victory over Albuquerque on Sunday. Brian Bogusevic had two hits, Darwin Barney walked three times and stole a base, and Ian Stewart was 0-for-3 with an RBI. Brad Nelson had two RBI.

For Stewart, it was his first game action since June 12. He underwent wrist surgery last July but has been on the disabled list this spring with a strained left quad.

“Everything felt good, so it was encouraging,” Stewart told the Des Moines Register of his first game.

Both he and Barney took extra grounders after the game. Stewart has something to prove, especially to the Cubs.

“I feel like I owe them for helping me through that,” he said.

* Dae-Eun Rhee gave up one hit over six shutout innings in Tennessee’s 7-3 victory over Chattanooga. Jae-Hoon Ha went 3-for-3 with an RBI.

* Zach Cates gave up one run on four hits over six innings as Daytona beat Tampa, 3-1. Stephen Bruno, Dustin Geiger and Micah Gibbs each had two hits.

* Kane County’s doubleheader at Wisconsin was postponed because of bad weather. The games will be made up June 14-16 at Kane County.

Good eye, Dar. You got your walks! Get home young man! Wrigley is waiting for you.

Rusin pitched a very good game, he had a very good ST. Rough 1st start, but he has really looked good so far this year.

stewbart owes the cubs 2 prospects

And they don’t even have to be good ones!

The two they gave up, didnt make the ML roster out of ST.
