4/16 Sing along

Actor John C. McGinley, who portrays broadcaster Red Barber in the movie “42″ will lead the crowd in the seventh inning stretch Tuesday night at Wrigley Field as part of the Jackie Robinson Day ceremonies. On Wednesday, Northern Illinois University football coach Rod Carey will do the honors, and on Thursday, new Northwestern University men’s basketball coach Chris Collins will sing “Take Me Out to the Ballgame.”

Can’t we just get rid of the stupid, insipid seventh inning stretch garbage? My god, enough is enough already! This makes the Cubs look so bad it’s become truly pathetic.

To most Cub fans, Harry Carey was an ICON. Notice I did not include myself, but what is wrong with the tradition Harry started? Its not one of my favorite parts of the game, but many Cub fans enjoy it.

I myself do not consider the sing a long news worthy nor do I care who sings it. There are alot of people that do and I can respect that.
