5/4 Minor matters

Iowa’s game against Oklahoma City was postponed because of snow. The teams were to try to play a doubleheader Saturday.

Alberto Cabrera gave up two hits over six innings and struck out eight but Tennessee lost, 3-2, to Mississippi because of a walk-off single in the 11th. Ronald Torreyes went 2-for-5.

Daytona’s game against Lakeland was postponed because of rain. They will play a makeup doubleheader May 17. On Saturday, Daytona’s P.J. Francescon is scheduled to start against Lakeland.

Rock Shoulders hit a walk-off two-run home run in the 11th to lift Kane County to a 4-2 victory over Bowling Green in the first game of a doubleheader. In the second game, Shoulders drove in another run in a 3-1 win for the sweep. Ian Dickson gave up two hits over 4 2/3 innings in the second game.

Am thinking Shoulders has done enough to be promoted to next level, eh?

they use him mostly as a DH now… if he is promoted and would go on 1B again, he has very hard competition from Dustin Geiger.He’s batting .303 with 25 RBI’s in 27 games
