6/2 Minor matters

Brett Jackson hit his third home run in Iowa’s 7-6, 13-inning loss to New Orleans. Dave Sappelt had three hits and Ian Stewart hit a double and finished with two RBIs. Guillermo Moscoso struck out 10 over 5 2/3 innings.

Christian Villanueva and Arismendy Alcantara each homered in Tennessee’s 9-3 loss to Birmingham. Matt Loosen took the loss, giving up four earned runs on six hits and four walks over 5 1/3 innings.

Javier Baez went 5-for-6 with three doubles, a home run and six RBIs in Daytona’s 14-5 win over Brevard County. Baez scored three runs and was batting .277 for the season. Jorge Soler also homered, his eighth, and was batting .295. P.J. Francescon picked up the win, giving up one run on five hits over six innings. Dustin Geiger had his third multi-hit game in the last 10 games and drove in a run. He leads the league with 47 RBIs.

Tayler Scott gave up seven runs on seven hits over four innings in Kane County’s 15-2 loss to Cedar Rapids. Albert Almora notched his fifth multi-hit game out of nine. Jeimer Candelario had two hits.

I support what mamma expressed there. These numbers are what we anticipated what you boys would deliver, and we want you continue to produce, as it will justify your advancing to the next level and the one after that etc. and so forth. I`m thinking that is your goal and that of your fans.

don’t forget Candelario… that kid may end up being the best of all those guys listed…. kid has the hit tool and defense to be SPECIAL!!!!!
