WHY NOT BRING UP SZCZUR OR JAE-HOON OVER SAPPELT.WE KNOW WHAT SAPPELT CAN AND CAN’T DO.BASIC EVERY PLAYER IN THE MINOR IS DOING BETTER THAN THE PERSON IN THE MAJOR THAT IS AHEAD OF THEM

WHAT HAPPEN TO PLAYER BEING FINE FOR THE LACK OF PASSION OR OF ATTENDTION THAT THEY MUST HAVE IN EVERY GAME .WHAT CASTRO IS DOING IS MAKE THE CUB AND FAN LOOK LIKE FOOL FOR SURPPORTING HIM I HAVE BEEN A CUB FAN FOR 52 YEARS AND THIS IS BAD ON THE FEILD AND IN THE FRONT OFFICE BECAUSE THEY HAVE NOT KELP THEY WORD THAT THE CUB PLAYER WOULD PLAY HARD PASSIONED BASEBALL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE PLEASE SOMEONE HAVE THE GUTS TO GET IN TO THESE PLAYER BUT STARTING CASTRO AND SORIANO BECAUSE THIS COULD BE COME VERY DANGER AND SPEAD TO TO OTHER PLAYER AND THE MINOR

Clarence, You and I have that in common; the 52 years, I mean. I was a sophomore in high school and age 15 when I commenced being a fan, and it was because of Ron Santo.

Well, well, well – another fine fiasco! 4 hits! Castro got a double – yahoo! When I saw him on 2nd I knew (ESP or DEJA VU) that he would get put out one way or another. Asleep at the base running. Way too far off base with 2nd baseman right there to nail him. So discouraged – no hitting , poor out-fielding – sad. Why do I still love these guys? Beats me – but I do.

joey, what are you drinking? Is that really you? :))

I saw Castro`s first ab, and it was awful. He swung at pitches nowhere near the strike zone and fanned. Believe it was in three pitches. White says he doubled later in contest; I`m still very concerned about this young man. Have his failures coincided with the signing of his $60 million contract? Just asking; I truly do not know.

Yes jhosk he did get a double which was good but THEN he got too far off the bag and was thrown out. Not good. Not paying attention. I am concerned that this young man is not showing any signs of improvement but has regressed daily. Huge contract, huge disappointment?

60 mill is not a huge contract…….160 million is huge… castro’s contract will not hurt us… this is not a Soriano type deal

I can’t think of a mlb team that needs a shortstop that cannot hit, throw or run the bases well. Then when one adds $60 million, I am really at a loss to think of a team that would have him. He needs to grow up. He has hit in the past and he can do much better. He is not a mature person at 23. However, he has been playing ball since he was much younger. I am not encouraged by his recent performance in the field or on the bases.

this is a 23 yr old KID…. he still has plenty of time to mature… he has a lot of pressure on him right now and just needs to get back to the basics and have fun again. Don’t give up on him as his past week or so has been pretty good hitting wise (even with his mental errors)…

Am going to see a future sure-fire Hall of Famer play tonight, Derek Jeter. Is his first rehab game here at AAA.

Enjoy jhosk! Lucky you! I will be watching our Cubs in spite of ………! Hoping every single day for a win! Hoping every day for a strawberry rhubarb pie too.

Now there is a ss Castro could not go wrong emulating. Class act!

Jackson is pitching today. A loss seems likely. All things considered, I am with White on the strawberry rhubarb pie.

Would love to share our Oregon homegrown rhubarb and berries, Jim. Mamma Mia and all know where to come for the goodies :)). Will be watching the game today in hopes of a win. – but – ? So much needing to be fixed. Can’t imagine how Castro can be brought back to life unless a few days off would give him time to refuel. I no longer think his age should be an excuse for poor play. There are MANY young players who excel at his age. His lack of focus, etc. will be a long term problem in my opinion. No use getting hits if he can’t learn to run the bases without being tagged out. Enjoy your day, Jim.

Tony was the best fun to watch, Mamma. I miss his spark. Sounds like he will succeed well. Thank you for the up-dates. Hope you don’t have to cook on the rocks today. :))

Who needs Tony when when we have Sappelt?? OMG. Hey, did everybody see Soriano hustle to first and deny the DP?? Nice hustle on his part. Yes, it’s me Joeydafish.
