7/21 Extra bases from Mesa, AZ

* David DeJesus is making progress in his rehab from a sprained right shoulder. He started for the Cubs’ Rookie League team Sunday night against the Dodgers in Glendale, and could be activated from the DL by the end of the week.

* Kris Bryant, the Cubs’ first-round pick in the June First-Year Player Draft, was to make his pro debut Sunday night for the Cubs’ Rookie League team. Watching Bryant in B.P. throw from third to first, you appreciate how good an arm this kid has.

* The Cubs’ new Spring Training facility and stadium have come a long way since March. There are actually fields. Don’t have pictures to share — couldn’t get close enough. The facility is scheduled to be ready for the 2014 Cactus League season.

Have 3 comments; 1. Djesus, get back quick before 7/31. You have value to trade. I know that some are thinking when do you stop trading. Dejesus can get us another GOOD prospect. Not top 50, maybe top 89-100. 2. Bryant;SAVE us! Just kidding. Hope to see you next march. 3. For all the complainers out there that say say our beloved CUBs, don’t spend $. Shut the F$&@ up. The CUBS ave spent more on a bottom to top overall than any team in baseball. In 2008; payroll=$148,000,000.
Now not as much; AT the major leagues. They are building spectacular baseball stadiums from rookie ball to a new & improved Wrigley. World Series -2017
