7/28 Baker to start Monday

Scott Baker, rehabbing from Tommy John surgery on his right elbow, will make his fourth Minor League start on Monday, moving up to Class A Daytona. Baker gave up three runs on five hits over three innings in his third rehab start for Class A Kane County last Wednesday. In three outings with Class A Kane County, he’s been charged with 13 runs on 17 hits and six walks over 8 2/3 innings.

That 13 runs, 17 hits, 6 walks sounds more like a Carlos Marmol inning of work.

GM’s are saying that the White Sox want more in a return for Peavy than what the Cubs got for Garza……….which some might turn to Samardzija if they want someone cheaper, healthier younger and will have better years ahead.

But much more expensive than Peavy… shark is a cub and will continue to be one

I am trying to figure out why you think Samardizja would be cheaper? I think the asking price on Shark would be much higher that that of Peavy, ( IF ???? ) Shark were available??
