Castro is just swinging at everything ….his head is not in the game at all while at bat.

Hasn`t this been the case with him for the better part of the season, and on defense also? I infer from your comment you reference what has been going on lately with the troubled athlete. Please correct me if I`m mistaken.

White and myself have been consistently commenting most of the season that Starlin`s head has not been in games. We`ve conjectured something is going on with the young man outside his baseball activities perhaps.

Yes, jhosk, we have been puzzled by Castro’s struggles this season. Some have suggested eye problems – if that is the case – check to see if he needs glasses! I have always thought he has attention deficit problems which should also be addressed. BUT I also know that the players can also be having personal family troubles which can impact their efficiency on the field i.e. sick family member, new babies keeping them awake at night, the usual list of life’s travails. I do NOT want Castro to fail – he can have a very fine future with the Cubs if they can figure out what is hampering him. He also has to be the one to “step up to the plate” and figure it out .

I’ll give dale his props this time! About time someone told Castro to get his head out of his a**. Hope he sits tomorrow too.

I totally agree with yourself, Jim. It`s not like this is the first time Castro`s mind has been elsewhere during a contest. I credit you for raising this topic before today`s game even began, and before Starlin had another opportunity to mess the bed.
