Wednesday’s games

Yoanner Negrin gave up one run over five innings in Iowa’s 7-1 loss to Memphis. Luis Flores drove in Iowa’s only run.

Javier Baez hit two home runs to power Tennessee to a 10-8 win over Birmingham. It was Baez’s third multi-homer game, as he went 4-for-4 with a season-high five RBIs. He’s batting .407 with 11 doubles, five home runs and 22 RBIs in 20 games this month. Arismendy Alcantara had two hits and one RBIs. Brett Jackson also had two hits.

Daytona’s first game of a doubleheader at Dunedin was suspended in the first because of rain.

James Pugliese gave up five runs over five innings in Kane County’s 8-5 loss to Beloit. Giuseppe Papaccio had two hits and three RBIs.

Jose Rosario gave up two runs over five innings in Boise’s 5-2 win over Salem-Keizer. Yasiel Balaguert had two hits and two RBIs.

Trevor Graham gave up one run over 2 1/3 innings in Mesa’s 4-3 loss to the Diamondbacks.

please,why the defense in the last inning,what ever happened to high and tight on the third base line,easy double,1 run scored ,WIN for the nats, ARRGH! Sorry just venting,very tough season and could not wait until they posted the next rambling!

Javier Baez is the real deal folks…. could be up with the cubs by end of next year…. moving castro to second
