8/23 Baker makes rehab start

Cubs pitcher Scott Baker gave up one run over four innings for Class A Kane County in a rehab outing Friday. Baker, in his second Minor League rehab stint this season, coming back from Tommy John surgery on his right elbow, gave up four hits, walked two and struck out three in his longest rehab outing. Beloit’s Matt Olson accounted for the only run, hitting a solo homer off Baker in the second. Baker’s rehab was moved to Kane County because the weather kept interfering with his starts at high A Daytona.

Dont really know why the interest in Baker unless he is signed for next year, is he? I understand the interest in him last winter and why he was signed. That setback from surgery durung Spring Training hurt any chance he had of helping the Cubs this year.

I wish him luck, but if he is not going to be a Cub next year, why is he News?
