Allright…..LEMME HERE YA’! LET’S GET SOME RUNS! (Now that the Cards have already locked up a playoff berth) GO CUBS!!!

I would not mind another loss or six. Cubs are tied with the Twins for 4th overall Draft Pick. Four games ahead of the White Sox. Looks like the Cubs will end up with #4 or #5.

Hey Jasper. You want the team to pull a Black Sox trick for a better draft pick? And pray tell, can you guarantee me that the #4 or #5 are going to make any major league club? Simply simple. I say “win” and the draft picks be damned.

Disagree Diamondjim. Almora was a #6 pick, it seems most have high expectations of him.
Nobody said lose on purpose, I just stated I dont care if they lose the next 6 games. Would it really matter?
You may say draft picks be damned, I say that statement makes you an idiot! We are probably both right.

Diamond, with all due respect I find it hard to believe you would rather add a handful of meaningless victories in a lost season rather than be ambivalent. NOT root for losses, something Jasper has never stated. He states him NOT MINDING losing these insignificant games and I completely agree with him and obviously so does Sveum considering his managerial decisions. I still think Sveum may be a lame duck/scapegoat manager that the FO does NOT MIND managing the team to better draft picks. NOT MINDING is a lot different than purposely throwing games ala the “BlackSox”.
