10/16 Eloy Jimenez and Gleyber Torres

Eloy Jimenez and Gleyber Torres were ranked Nos. 1 and 3 among MLB.com’s top 30 international prospects, and both signed with the Cubs this summer. To read about how they’re adjusting to pro baseball and life in the U.S., check out my story on Cubs.com. The two 16-year-olds are incredibly talented and should be huge contributors in years to come.

Definately like this. If you think about the investment in very young International players like mentioned above, then add more like Erick Leal and Jesus Castillo from the Campana trade; Management is not just building for 2015 & 2016, they are building 5 years down the road.
This proves that Epstein/Hoyer meant what they said, building for sustained success.

Given that I was born the year the Cubs last attended the World Series as competitors, I would like to see them make it again before I find myself on the wrong side of the grass. Once. Just once. Before.

Carrie, I have been looking for the story you are refering to and cannot find it. would you post a link? I looked in the newes archive for October and September
