12/16 Sanchez and Wada

The Cubs are reportedly interested in pitcher Jonathan Sanchez, 31. The Chicago Tribune’s Mark Gonzalez reports the team is looking at the lefty for the bullpen. Sanchez appeared in five games for the Pirates this year, but it didn’t go well. He gave up 18 runs on 25 hits and eight walks over 13 2/3 innings.

According to another report, the Cubs are interested in lefty Tsuyoshi Wada, 32, who had a 2.76 ERA in 78 1/3 innings for the Orioles’ Triple-A team in 2013. Wade underwent Tommy John surgery in 2012.

Let’s all get excited!!! Sanchez, an almost 12 ERA guy with the Pirates and Wada, another Tommy John reclamation project!! I think we just got another lump of coal in our stockings?

Happy Holidays Cubs Fans!

Anything wrong with securing some VETS for the AAA team??
If they do well and are needed for injury replacement, they are a phone call away.
I dont see a problem here.

Two lumps of coal! Certainly not promising. – but coal eventually becomes diamonds! Probably not gonna happen! :))
