LOVE OUR CUBS! At 79 yrs. old just hoping for a few more to watch! THE CUBS WILL DO IT for us johnny yuma! Eamus Catuli

That lineup is not terrible. Of course, it will look better when you replace Barney with Baez and Schierholtz with Bryant.

2016 Opening Day line up ?????…….

CF Almora
SS – Castro
2B – Baez
LF – Bryant
1B – Rizzo
3B – Olt
RF – Soler
C – Castillo

like the 2016 line up i agree lake will be traded before 2016 to iffy a batter

I hope Lake plays so well that Soler is traded.

I have a hunch that both Lake & Soler are not long term solutions for the Cubs….but I do believe both will be good ball players.

but yet you just put Soler in the starting 2016 lineup?

I hope they both play well, so the Cubs can win no matter what they decide to do with both of them.

Rizzo needs to start hitting against lefties if he wants to stick around………..

Anyone see Cashner last night?…..looked good against a good hitting team.

Cubs No Longer with the team since Theo took over………

Anyone you miss?

Colvin (trade)…..Cashner (trade)…..Marshall (trade)……Carpenter.(compensation).

Really? Cashner was hurt when that trade was made. The Cubs didnt have a bat at 1st Base, your going to 2nd guess that now?
Marshall for Wood ans rwo others, your going to question that after last year?
Colvin? You have to be kidding.

Colvin isn’t even in the Major Leagues anymore! Nor is he with the organization that the Cubs traded him to in the first place. I’m sure the Rockies don’t miss him!
Carpenter has barely pitched since he left the Cubs due to injury. And if the price to pay for getting a guy to run the team and turn them into perennial winners is having to give up an injured relief pitcher, then I will gladly make that deal over and over again.
Marshall was good, but is just a lefty relief pitcher. I’d take a decent lefty starter (Wood) and what eventually turned into extra international slot money for a good lefty reliever any day!
Yes, Cashner looked good last night, but he was hardly a can’t miss prospect when the Cubs had him. In fact, the Cubs couldn’t figure out if he was a starter or a closer and when they tried to make him a starter, he got hurt and missed most of the season. Rizzo was one of the top hitting prospects in baseball a few years ago and has turned into a Gold Glove caliber defender.
I would forget about all of those players you named, because none of them are really worthwhile anyway!

who cares

The stadium view looking out towards downtown Pittsburg is one of the best in baseball.

With a game break, anyone with humor should enjoy watching the unedited sneak preview on You Tube of a new Western movie….”Million Ways to Die in the West”

If Samardzija is pitching like this way throughout the season, Theo should get Three top prospects in return.

shhhhhhhhhhhh

Jasper…I am not questioning any of the trades………too early to decide who got the better of the Cashner / Rizzo trade……..Marshall trade was good for us…..anytime you can trade a middle relief pitcher for a stating pitcher, you have to make that trade. ………..I do remember Hendry had a Marshall/Vitters/Marmol for Jake Peavy trade to make, then cancelled it………….Bob Kennedy had an offer of Sutter, Martz & Thompson for Gary Carter…..Kennedy also wanted Scott Sanderson……that trade went no where……so the Cardinals offered…..Durham, Kennedy Jr & Herr……Kennedy did not want his son due to pressure on him………..time will tell who won the Cashner / Rizzo trade.

Three plus hours long……no score………these games will drag out this season.

then don’t watch and don’t post your babblering posts on here

Time for “The Good…The Bad…The Ugly Game Report”…………

The Good………Samardizija pitching………Bonifacio with four hits…..

The Bad………Cubs lost 1-0 in 10 innings……

The Ugly………Rizzo 0-4…3 K’s……4 LOB
