4/6 Cubs lineup

Carlos Villanueva starts in the series finale Sunday against the Phillies. Starlin Castro is batting sixth, and Darwin Barney gets a breather as Emilio Bonifacio moves to second base. Here’s the lineup:

Bonifacio 2B
Kalish LF
Rizzo 1B
Schierholtz RF
Valbuena 3B
Castro SS
Sweeney CF
Baker C
Villanueva P

That line up makes my eyes hurt.

Ur posts make my eyes hurt

Mr White asked me some questions…….here is what Mr White wanted to know……

Cubs talk: You sure do post a lot! Why don’t you tell us something about yourself!

Are you retired? …………In this economy, who can retire!….. I can tell you I don’t have much in life is money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like Petry, Doug and others.

How do you find the time to post so often? …….I am very multi functional person……I work, make money and make comments about our Cubbies.

Do you live on the West or East coast?……..I live in a van down by the river…….

Are you able to go to games at Wrigley? ……..I do….it just seems I never see the Cubs win…….I have better luck with Angels, Dodgers & Marlin’s home games.

How long have you been a Cub’s fan? ……..into my sixth decade of suffering…..my heart can’t take it much longer….

Who is your favorite player of all times? ……..Good Question Mr White……sometimes a really good player might have not so good personal background…involved with drugs, wife beating, running around with various women, gambling, alcohol, etc……….and a terrible ball player might be the best guy you want to know…….there are many Big Name ball players who are really scum of the earth……………and there are many good hearted ball players…..but if there is one I would pick, it would be Dale Murphy who played with the Braves……..the guy is a class act from top to bottom…..and should be in the HOF.

Good morning Cubs Talk! First of all – thank you for responding to my questions! :)). Second of all – I am a Mrs. not a Mr. I am in my 79th year and, like you, waiting for the Cubs to make us proud. Started my baseball watching Ted Williams with the Red Sox! Enjoy the game today!

God Bless your heart……..I hope enjoy some of my funny comments……..never saw a Boston home game in person.

Wasnt Ted Williams at your house the night you entertained JFK and his wife? Who did you say got caught with Marilyn in the pantry that night? Was it Frank Sinatra or Phyllis Diller?

I was talking about the Hawaiian Islanders the other day with the Aloha Guy…..I had to look into my vault about the team cards I got at games because something clicked in my head about the team…..sure enough, I did see current Cubs Manager play with the Islanders back in the 80’s……I have Renteria’s Hawaiian Islander baseball card…….and yes, I do have the Tony Gwynn card in MINT Condition.

Aloha CubsTalk! Yes that is right, Renteria was on that team too! And Gwynn in mint! I have to say I loved those cards because they were different and only so many were made. I agree with you about Dale Murphy, had the pleasure of watching him as a kid in “da 80’s” on WTBS one of the first cable stations we got in the islands on “Oceanic Cable.” Yes, a class act all the way. Mahalo!

No Olt? No Lake? Renteria seems to be laboring under the belief that his job is to try and win that day.

Oh, I was hoping to see Olt in the lineup today, as this will be the first game shown on WGN on the West Coast while I am not at work. I do wish I could see the AA and AAA games on TV, though, as all the action is down on the farm this year. Let’s go Cubbies!
