4/28 Arrieta to face Cardinals – UPDATED

Reports out of Cincinnati are that Jake Arrieta will return to the Cubs rotation. He was scheduled to start Wednesday but because of Monday’s rainout, the right-hander now will start against the Cardinals this weekend. Arrieta was slowed this spring because of tightness in his right shoulder. He threw 44 pitches over two innings on Saturday for Double-A Tennessee. He’ll replace Carlos Villanueva in the rotation, and Villanueva will switch to the bullpen. The corresponding roster move will be made when needed.

Make sure you all switch from Internet Explorer to Google or Firefox….too many Hackers according to Govt.

seriously no one cares…. do you even know what a hacker is?

If Arrieta is healthy, the Cubs have a pretty good starting staff. Jackson being in the 5 hole of course. Interesting to see who will go down, but my hope a minor trade is made.
As long as their Cubs, I am a Cub fan, however is there anyone out there that could use a 2b man who is a defensive whiz and a #5 pitcher like Villanueva that would give them some innings? Would love to see these two gone by Wednesday.

very unlikely… and if that trade was made we may get a bag of balls in return. There just isn’t a ton of value there. Villanueva is best in long relief and as a swing man NOT the set #5 starter. That just isn’t his game. I hope he can help out in the bullpen. I like Arrietta but I also want to see Hendricks up here with the big league club. That guy just throws strikes. He knows how to pitch

I would just like to see them both gone. You have Valbuena and Bonifacio at 2B, then they put Bonifacio in CF, Barney at 2B, Valbuena at 3B on certain days. If you need a RH bat in the line up, leave Olt at 3B and Valbuena at 2B.
I just dont understand why Barney is even on the team, much less, still in a Cub uniform.
