4/28 Cubs lineup

Here is Monday’s Cubs lineup for the first game of their series against the Reds in Cincinnati:

Bonifacio CF
Kalish RF
Rizzo 1B
Castro SS
Valbuena 3B
Castillo C
Sweeney LF
Barney 2B
Samardzija P

Here are the pitching matchups:

Monday: RHP Jeff Samardzija (0-2, 1.53) vs. RHP Alfredo Simon (3-1, 1.30)
Tuesday: RHP Edwin Jackson (1-2, 5.02) vs. LHP Tony Cingrani (2-2, 2.86)
Wednesday: RHP Carlos Villanueva (1-5, 10.42) vs. RHP Homer Bailey (1-2, 6.15)

I like this line-up, I would put Vabuena at 2B and leave Olt at 3rd. Olts RH bat has got to be better than Barney’s.
Also, petrey if you read this, what were Castillo’s STATS batting 4th or 5th last year?

sorry i missed this…i responded to it in the newer post… basically its really too small of a sample to derive anything from. But if Castillo continues to hit I don’t see why we can’t give him a try.

Arietta starting Wednesday………

Garza claims Cubs cost him 30 wins while he with the team.

Rain Delay! I’m bummed. For Cubs fans in the path of the tornados today stay safe. For everybody out there stay safe! Hope we can get a game in tonight!

Looking at radar….more rain heading towards the stadium…….here are other options for tonight……

ABC – Dancing with the Stars….
NBC – Blacklist……highly recommended
ESPN – Oakland vs Texas
Weather Chanel – Updated Tornado Information
HBO – Texas Gov. Ann Richards Documentary
Western Channel – The Gunfighter……excellent Gregory Peck movie.

Nope – none of the above! I’ll just cry on my blueberry muffin and cuddle my Shirley Purrl kitty! Is there any hope for a break in the rain?
