6/11 Minor matters – Tuesday’s games

Iowa went 1-for-11 with runners in scoring position and stranded 10 base runners in a 3-2 loss to Fresno on Tuesday. Kyle Hendricks took the loss despite posting a quality start. He gave up three runs over seven innings, striking out six. Arismendy Alcantara had two hits, including his ninth triple.

Tennessee had the day off and returns to action Wednesday, playing host to Mississippi.

Daytona lost its fourth straight game, dropping an 11-4 decision to Dunedin. Chadd Krist hit a solo homer, his first, and Rock Shoulders and Marco Hernandez each had two hits.

Kane County’s game at Peoria was postponed because of rain. The teams were scheduled to play a doubleheader Wednesday.

K.G. – this one is for you. Hoyer on spending in the coming winter: “I would say that is likely + definitely possible. We need to add veterans to the kids that are coming.”
