6/26 Minor matters

Iowa had Wednesday off, and returns to action Thursday night against Colorado Springs. Kyle Hendricks (8-5, 3.55 ERA) gets the start. Manny Ramirez is scheduled to join the Iowa Cubs as a player/coach.

Anthony Giansanti hit his second home run of the season to help Tennessee beat Jackson, 4-2. Matt Loosen picked up the win, giving up one run over six innings. Christian Villanueva had two hits.

Jose Rosario threw six shutout innings in Daytona’s 7-0 win over Dunedin. Rock Shoulders, Chad Krist and Dan Vogelbach all homered, with Vogelbach finished with three hits and two RBI.

Kyle Schwarber, the Cubs’ first-round Draft pick in June, hit his second home run since joining Kane County in a 3-2 loss to Wisconsin. Schwarber had two hits and his first stolen base. He’s batting .421.

Boise ended a seven-game losing streak with an 8-4 victory over Spokane. Tyler Ihrig gave up three runs over seven innings for the win. Jeffrey Baez (no relation to Javier) and Kevin Brown each hit home runs.

Mesa had Wednesday off.

Wonder if Schwarber is catching or playing outfield with Kane County or both.

You know you can go to the Kane County Cougars website, and check the box score and find that out. This week, he’s played LF on Tuesday, C on Wednesday, and was the DH on Thursday

I hear you. Thanks for that. Will know what to do going forward.
