6/30 Minor matters – Sunday’s games
Tsuyoshi Wada threw 6 2/3 shutout innings in Iowa’s 2-0 win over Colorado Springs. Wada struck out eight and improved to 9-4 with a 2.55 ERA. Arismendy Alcantara had two hits, including a double. Javier Baez had two hits and one RBIs.
Tennessee scored four runs in the eighth to beat Montgomery, 6-1. Dae-Eun Rhee gave up one run on seven hits over seven innings, and struck out 10. Jae-Hoon Ha had three RBIs.
Daytona rallied for a 9-8 win over Lakeland. Dan Vogelbach had two hits, including a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the 11th. Bijan Rademacher had three RBIs. Marco Hernandez and Albert Almora each had two hits and two RBIs.
Cael Brockmeyer hit for the cycle in Kane County’s 9-7 win over Beloit. Brockmeyer went 4-for-5 with four RBIs. He hit a two-run homer in the third and a two-run triple in the ninth. Jacob Hannemann also homered and finished with three RBI.
Trevor Graham gave up two unearned runs over six innings in Boise’s 6-2 win over Tri-City. Jeffrey Baez hit a two-run homer and Dan Canela had four hits.
Jorge Soler had a hit and scored a run in Mesa’s 5-4 walk-off win over the Giants. Kevonte Mitchell had three hits.
