Eric Jokisch gave up five runs over 3 2/3 innings in Iowa’s 11-3 loss to Memphis. Taylor Davis had two hits, his eighth multi-hit game this season.
Jacob Turner gave up two runs over four innings in his first rehab start in Tennessee’s 2-0 loss to Birmingham. The Barons’ Frankie Montas threw a no-hitter against the Smokies for the win in the first game of a doubleheader. Turner walked one and struck out four. In the second game, Tennessee won, 7-5, as Kyle Schwarber hit his 13th home run. Schwarber, Albert Almora and Bryant Flete each had two hits.
In the first game of a doubleheader, Myrtle Beach beat Frederick, 7-1. Jonathan Martinez gave up one run on four hits over five innings for the win and Jacob Rogers had two RBI. Myrtle Beach lost the second game, 5-1. Daury Torrez gave up four earned runs over six innings. Chesny Young had two hits.
South Bend had Tuesday off and resumes play against Burlington on Wednesday.
