#Cubs vs #Indians ppd because of weather

The Cubs and Indians Interleague game Monday night was postponed because of inclement weather and a make up game will be played on Aug. 24, which was an off day for both teams.

The time for the makeup game has yet to be determined. Fans are encouraged to retain their tickets from Monday’s postponed game to use for the rescheduled contest.

The two teams will play Tuesday night at Wrigley Field in the second of what was scheduled to be a four-game home-and-home series. On Tuesday, Chicago’s Jake Arrieta (6-4, 3.16 ERA) will start against the Indians’ Trevor Bauer (5-3, 3.53 ERA).

Tornado sirens sounded near Wrigley Field around 5 p.m. CT and there was heavy rain. Some fans were allowed onto the concourse for protection.

It’s the fourth game postponed by rain this season for the Cubs, who already have had games rescheduled against the Cardinals, Reds and Royals.

Any update on Mike Olt? Haven’t heard much, just wondering.

I`ve heard it said that the Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup tonight. I`m not a hockey fan, but respect those who are, and suspect some of y`all on here may find this reason to celebrate. If, by chance, you are one of those, I`ve just one thing to say to yourself: Congrats!

Virginia defeated the mighty Florida in the CWS at Omaha tonight. This is a `minor miracle.` Florida was heavily favored to win tonight, and to compete for the eventual championship along with Vanderbilt. Florida has won 50 games this season and has been averaging 9.8 runs per game over their past ten contests and tonight the Virginia hurlers held them to exactly two hits and zero runs. This is nothing short of `amazing.` Go Cubs!

Yes jhosk the Hawks did win there third Stanley Cup in six years, hope the Cubs can ride the train also, was thinking of you when the hockey broadcast shifted to another channel and the sportsticker showed the slugfest going on between UVA and FL. Good call on Schwarber, albiet a short sample am looking forward to watching him play some. Go Cubs and congratulations Blawkhawk Nation!

Yes, KenlyCub, that`s an impressive run the Hawks have had recently. I meant to add that Florida team which was shut out last night scored 11 runs in just one inning of Saturday`s `blowout` of Miami. It tied a CWS record.
