Wednesday’s games

Junior Lake hit a solo home run but it wasn’t enough as Iowa lost 7-4 to Omaha. Taylor Teagarden had two hits.

Pierce Johnson gave up three hits over five scoreless innings in Tennessee’s 8-0 win over Mississippi. Johnson struck out four. Neil Ramirez retired the side in the sixth in his first rehab appearance. Bijan Rademacher, Stephen Bruno and Bryant Flete each had two hits. Flete finished with three RBI.

Mark Zagunis had three hits and an RBI to help Myrtle Beach beat Winstom-Salem, 5-2. Jeimer Candelario and Jacob Rogers each had two hits.

South Bend lost, 3-1, to Dayton. Rashad Crawford had two hits and Michael Wagner struck out six over 3 1/3 innings in relief.

Eugene opens its season Thursday at Everett.
