#Cubs lineup vs Twins

Kyle Hendricks gets the start Friday night when the Cubs open a three-game Interleague series against the Twins at Target Field in Minneapolis. Here’s the lineup:

Fowler CF

Rizzo 1B

Bryant 3B

Montero C

Castro SS

Coghlan LF

Denorfia RF

Schwarber DH

Russell 2B

* Kyle Schwarber has six hits in nine at-bats in his first two career starts the last two nights in Cleveland. According to STATS Inc., he’s the sixth Cub since 1914 to accomplish that feat. Schwarber joins Spark Adams in 1922 (six hits), Walter Stephenson in 1935 (six), Coaker Triplett in 1938 (seven), Doug Dascenzo in 1988 (six) and Tyler Houston in 1996 (seven).

Elias reports that Schwarber joins Preston Wilson (May 1998), Ian Desmond (Sept. 2009) and Wilson Ramos (May 2010) as the only players to get six hits in their first eight at-gats in the last 30 years.

* The Cubs are 3-4 in seven Interleague games thus far. Last season, they went 9-11.

* Cubs DHs have gone 8-for-16 (.500) with a double, a triple, a home run, four RBI and two walks in four games so far.
