#Cubs Minor League report: Villanueva 2 HRs

Friday’s games

Christian Villanueva hit two home runs and drove in three runs while Rubi Silva added a homer and drove in three in Iowa’s 9-7 win over Memphis. Dallas Beeler got the win, giving up two earned runs over six innings. He struck out five. It was Beeler’s third straight quality start.

Tennessee lost, 4-3, to Montgomery. Pierce Johnson gave up one run on six hits over 6 2/3 innings, and did not get a decision. He’s now 4-0 with a 1.27 ERA. Bijan Rademacher had two hits and two RBI. Wilson Contreras had two hits, including a RBI double.

Daury Torrez gave up one run over six innings in Myrtle Beach’s 7-2 win over Potomac. Chesny Young was 5-for-5 with a triple and scored three runs. Jeimer Candelario had three hits, including a double, and drove in two.

Jeffry Baez homered to help South Bend beat Lansing, 10-3. Michael Wagner got the win, giving up one run over six innings. Gleyber Torres had three hits and two RBI. Rashad Crawford had three hits and three RBi.

Preston Morrison gave up one run on four hits over two innings in Eugene’s 2-0 loss to Hillsboro. Ian Happ had two of the team’s three hits, including a double.

So much talent hope we hang on to as much of them as possible.Never seen this except for the Cardinals organization. They don’t trade there’s Dodgers don’t give there away .I pray we learn from them plus we might even have more don’t ever trade just to trade.Go Management !
