#Cubs Minor League report: Villanueva HRs again

Sunday’s games

Rubi Silva and Christian Villanueva each homered to back Carlos Pimentel and lead Iowa to a 4-2 win over Memphis.
Villanueva hit a three-run homer, and was named PCL Player of the Week. He’s batting .273. Pimentel gave up two runs over six innings.

Tennessee lost, 12-3, to Montgomery. Ryan Williams took the loss, giving up four earned runs over five innings. Wes Darvill
had two hits, his second straight multi-hit game.

Paul Blackburn threw 4 2/3 shutout innings in Myrtle Beach’s 4-0 win over Salem. Chesney Young had two hits and one RBI, and has an eight-game hitting streak. Jacob Rogers drove in two runs, and leads the team with 61 RBI.

South Bend lost, 10-5, to West Michigan. Rashad Crawford hit his second homer and a triple, driving in four runs. Erick
Castillo had three hits, including two doubles.

Eugene gave up 16 runs — 10 in the first inning — in a 16-5 loss to Vancouver. Carson Sands had a rough outing, giving up
nine runs on eight hits. Ian Happ and Eloy Jimenez each had two hits, both hitting a double.

Carlos Sepulveda had two hits in Mesa’s 3-0 loss to the Dodgers. James Norwood threw four scoreless innings, striking out
six.
