Monday’s games

Drake Britton gave up one run over seven innings and Rubi Silva homered for the third straight game in Iowa’s 7-1 win over Round Rock. Britton struck out six. Silva finished with three RBI. Junior Lake extended his hitting streak to 11 games, going 2-for-4.

Tennessee’s game vs. Birmingham was postponed because of rain and the two teams were to play a doubleheader Tuesday.

Brad Markey gave up one run over three innings in Myrtle Beach’s 4-1 win over Salem. Victor Caratini had two hits.

South Bend lost, 4-0, to West Michigan. Gleyber Torres had two hits, including a double,.

Justin Steele gave up five earned runs over five innings in Eugene’s 8-0 loss to Vancouver.

Mesa lost, 5-4, to the Angels. Jose Paniagua had two hits, including a double.

* Third basebman Jeimer Candelario, first baseman Jacob Rogers and right-handed pitcher Juan Paniagua were promoted from Class A Myrtle Beach to Double-A Tennessee.

* Also, lefty Jeffry Antigua has been promoted from Tennessee to Triple-A Iowa. He has a 3.55 ERA in 12 games, including eight starts.
