#Cubs Coghlan takes time for patients

Cubs outfielder Chris Coghlan and his wife Corrie visited Advocate Children’s Hospital in Oak Lawn, Ill., on Monday and spent time with patients and their families. Coghlan brought Cubs hats, teddy bears, replica batting helmets, and
photos to those that he met with, and signed autographs and posed for photos as well.

Coughlan and his wife deserve much praise for their efforts here. On another subject, I recently commented on the chemistry betwixt two Phillies` broadcasters back in the day, Richie Ashburn and Naperville`s Harry Kalas. After watching tonight`s game, I would be remiss if I did not observe that Len Kasper and Jim Deshaies are the antithesis of Whitey and Harry. They, unfortunately, have zero chemistry, and listening to their uninspired commentary is equivalent to watching paint dry.

Entering Saturday’s game against the Atlanta Braves, Coghlan was hitting . Over his last six games, he was batting .
