So long Junior Lake, good luck in Baltimore!

Aloha fonzie, I am a little sad to see him go hope he is given a chance to play. Wonder if the FO was also trying to make more room available for possible transactions? Mahalo!

Does anyone know what’s going on with the Iowa game? MiLB gameday has stopped reporting as of the 3rd inning.

We filled the need for another starter, but what happened to the desire to find another position player? And we still do not have a closer.

I don’t think there really was a need by the fo…. Sure we have been playing bad ball the last month but like maddon said we have the talent we just got to get more out of it. Baez up soon will help. Monteros back soon will help hopefully putting Ross in a maximum of one start per week … Not two or 3.
They still need to decide what schwarber is gonna do when montero returns… It’s gonna be interesting

Also Castro and fowler couldn’t play much worse…. Bryant and rizzo hopefully through their slump… Russell hopefully starts to click with the bat… Lots of opportunities!!

Aloha Petrey- I have always felt that the young folks will make a turn, in both the defensive aspect and offensive. I was glad to see that Carrie put up that no team has made it to the playoffs with 3 rookies on the same team with 100+ games in the season. So, we know there is the learning curve x3. MLB pitching at the moment has the upper hand on these young folks but soon they will figure things out with their approach at the plate. I know Bryant is in a little of a slump. One very positive characteristic that he shows from time to time is patience as shown he will take a walk. So, if he can combine that with an attitude of making contact not worrying about hitting the ball out every time, we will see a big turnaround and the long ball will be there too. Russell is seeing the ball much better lately and more patient with his at bats. I also think that Bryant and Russell are playing better defense. In regard to Soler, he is having better at bats. I hope he can work on his defense and judging fly balls hit his way. Montero will definitely be a positive when he comes back and when/if Baez comes up. So for the team to be where they are right now with all these “what-ifs” the past month+ is really tremendous. Tonight is another important game as the Cubs are only 1 game behind the Giants now! Mahalo!
