Felipe Paulino gave up two hits over seven shutout innings in Iowa’s 4-1 win over Omaha. Christian Villanueva hit a three-run homer, his 15th. Javier Baez drove in one run and drew two walks.
Tennessee scored 10 runs in the fourth to beat Jackson, 14-1. Pierce Johnson gave up three hits over seven innings for the win. Tommy La Stella was 1-for-5. Billy McKinney had two hits and three RBIs. Jonathan Mota drove in three runs and Bijan Rademacher had two RBI.
Myrtle Beach lost, 2-1, to Frederick. Paul Blackburn gave up two runs, both unearned, over six innings. Pin-Chieh Chen had two hits, including a double.
Jake Stinnett gave up one run over seven innings in South Bend’s 5-1 win over Clinton. Rashad Crawford hit a solo home run and Gleyber Torres drove in one run. Stinnett struck out a season high six batters.
Eugene beat Salem-Keizer, 1-0. Oscar De La Cruz gave up four hits over six shutout innings, striking out seven. Alberto Mineo drove in the winning run with a RBI triple.
Eric Jokisch gave up four hits over five scoreless innings in Mesa’s 6-0 win over the Athletics. Robert Garcia had three hits and Carlos Sepulveda had two hits and two RBI.
