Mike Olt hit a solo homer to back Carlos Pimentel as Iowa beat Omaha, 3-0. Pimentel gave up two hits over seven innings.

Rob Zastryzny gave up three runs over six innings in Tennessee’s 8-3 win over Jackson. The Smokies now are 7-2 in August. Jeimer Candelario hit a three-run homer and was batting .338. Albert Almora had two hits, including a double, and one RBI.

Brad Markey gave up one run over six innings in Myrtle Beach’s 10-2 win over Frederick. Daniel Lockhart was 4-for-4 with a
double, four RBI and scored three runs. Chesny Young had three hits and two RBI.

Zach Hedges gave up one earned run over five innings in South Bend’s 9-5 loss to Clinton. Jeffrey Baez had three hits,
including two doubles, and Gleyber Torres had three hits and one RBI. Kevin Encarnacion had two hits.

Andrew Ely had two hits and one RBI in Eugene’s 6-3 win over Boise. Ryan Kellogg started and gave up two earned runs over three innings.

Carlos Sepulveda had three hits and one RBI in Mesa’s 8-4 loss to the Indians. Jesus Camargo took the loss, giving up six
runs over four innings.
