#Cubs Rizzo visits kids at Lurie’s hospital

It’s the postseason and the Cubs face the Mets in Game 3 on Tuesday, but Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo took time to visit patients at Lurie’s Childrens Hospital earlier in the day. Rizzo signed autographs, took photos, and brought hats, teddy bears, and “W” rally towels (and hugs) to the patients and their families.

Last Friday, when the Cubs were in New York, Lurie Children’s Hospital honored Rizzo as the 2015 winner of the Champion’s For Children Award in recognition of his commitment to the health and well-being of the patients. He received the actual award on Tuesday.
