#Cubs Schwarber day to day

The Cubs’ Kyle Schwarber came out of Thursday’s game after two innings because of left knee soreness, saying he tweaked his knee making a throw in the second inning.

“I felt it on the throw, just tweaked it a little bit but it feels better now, better than what happened out there,” Schwarber said. “It was just on the follow through on a throw, I tweaked it a little bit. I took the at-bat [in the second] and it didn’t feel good and wanted to come in and get it taken care of.”

He wasn’t too concerned, and will be re-examined on Friday.

“I don’t think it’ll be significant,” he said. “Hopefully a couple days and I’ll be back out there again.”

With the several minor injuries that have occurred already in Spring Training games I like that the guys are taking every precaution to avoid more serious injuries by exiting the games. Take time to mend fully and be ready for the games that count. Maddon takes good care of his players!

This is my boy! He won’t let a little knee injury get to him. He got it

He’ll get through it. After a long winter, it’s difficult.
