I can never keep this straight, so correct me if I’m wrong, but Arizona does not observe Daylight Savings Time. Therefore, they are on Mountain Standard Time, which is currently two hours behind Central Daylight Time, which means the Cubs game starts at 3:05 pm in Chicago.

That is correct. It’s kind of nice to not have to re-set your clocks

I find this perplexing as well. Doesn`t this mean Arizona time these days is identical to California time? If so, it means Mountain Standard Time coincides with Pacific Daylight Time during this period, and that will be true until November 6, 2016. I think I have this right, but would not bet the farm on my observations.

Right now, Mountain Time and Pacific Time are in sync

Aloha Carrie- thank you for putting that in because you are right, before this past Sunday we were an hour behind MST. It is a strange timezone whereby a small portion here in the US, only AZ (mostly) and then in CAN and MEX. Anyhow, we get the hour back late in the season. Mahalo!

Aloha jhosk- I just thought I something, it is going to be a little hard for you to watch everything because if memory serves me correct, you also enjoy College Basketball and Virginia has a #1 seed! I will just say that my father’s alma mater and mine are going head to head. We will see who goes on, he said the “loser” has to call the “winner.” I just going to keep on watching our Cubs. Always glued to what Carrie reports, especially now because the rosters are changing. Take care. Mahalo!

I`m guessing you’re referencing the Golden Bears versus the Rainbow Warriors in Spokane Friday, k.g. Saw Cal play the Cavaliers back in December and Rabb and Brown are two elite freshmen. Pierce Johnson surrendered two two run dingers today. Some fans have despaired over the Cubs` spring record, but it pales in comparison to Baltimore`s. According to today`s newspaper, the Orioles are 1-11.

Aloha jhosk, yes you hit it on the nail. My father says he is looking forward to my calling on Friday! Your Virginia is one heck of a team! Mahalo!

Aloha jhosk, I just saw that you mentioned going to the game Vir/Cal! That means you saw the 63-62 game! Maybe they will meet again! Mahalo!

Did not intend to leave the impression I attended that contest involving Cal, k.g. Saw it on ESPN 2. (Is challenging to score tickets to men`s hoops at JPJ Arena.) Schwarber`s Hoosiers have excellent possibility of facing Kentucky Saturday in Des Moines, assuming each gets by its opening opponent Thursday. Arrieta was impressive yesterday.

Aloha jhosk- no worries! Yes, Schwarber’s school has a heck of a team as well. You know there will be some upsets before they get to the “Sweet 16!” Hope Richard has a great outing today! Mahalo!

Aloha Doug & jhosk- I believe you are both correct because I checking myself and their time is the same as us on the West Coast. By the way, just as an aside, I see that the RISP was 2-11 today. Arrieta pitched very well. I like how Maddon, Bosio and their staff are slowly warming up all of the pitchers, meaning increasing their innings per start as ST moves along. In the past I brought up the RISP stat often. I am not worried about it because the team is still in ST. But I also understand with a very young team, still leaning how to work with each other and the infusion of new players, that it will take time. I am excited for Maddon to communicate the positives of “small-ball” to this team. They will have power, that is a given but if they can string together hits, run the bases well I tell you what, this will wear down an opposing team! You take care now. Mahalo!
