Aloha Folks, what a tremendous pitching job by Hendricks. He has been fun to watch and to see him grow and mature outting after outting is very encouraging For the most part he kept the ball low, control was awesome and he went almost 7innings. Then to have Warren’s debut be stellar out of the bp finished by Rondon’s quick ninth capped off a well played game! Oh, and Addison’s play against Goldschmidt (sp?), wow. Take care Cubs fans. Mahalo!

Aloha Folks- I was trying to remember how the organization acquired Hendricks and remember it was a trade with the Rangers (there was the Dempster trade and the Garza trade). I think it was for Dempster because the Garza deal netted Edwards/Olt/Grimm. Have to give the FO credit on both of those trades. This one for Hendricks and the organization’s patience with the young arm is incredible. Of course every fan wants not just one Ace but possibly two or more on their team’s roster. I do not want to get ahead of myself but I think Hendricks could become and a solid 3 or 4th starter in the future. To watch him mix up his pitches and keep the batters timing off today was something to behold. Fans love the pitchers that throw heat and have high numbers of strikeouts, nothing wrong with that I do as well. I love a pitcher that can that can control the pace, keep the ball low, get ground outs, play defense…something like a G. Maddux. Hendricks-san gunbatene! Mahalo!
