#Cubs and Arrieta face Giants

Jake Arrieta gets the start Friday night at AT&T Park in San Francisco against the Giants. Here’s the lineup:

*The Cubs are batting .169 in their last four games, scoring eight runs.

*The Cubs also have won each of Arrieta’s last 21 regular season starts. He’s 18-0 in that stretch with a 0.84 ERA. His last regular season defeat was July 25 when Cole Hamels threw a no-hitter at Wrigley Field.

*Arrieta’s run of 18 consecutive regular season winning decisions ranks as the fifth-longest such streak in the Modern Era (since 1900). The right-hander enters Friday’s game with a streak of 18 consecutive scoreless innings on the road.

*The Giants have given up 14 runs in their last eight games (all wins). That’s 8-0 with a 1.66 ERA for the staff. The starters are 5-0, 1.34 ERA in the last eight games

*Chicago’s Ben Zobrist is batting .488 with a .600 OBP in his last 13 games.

Why know comments? Cubs win Cubs win! Some have plenty to say when we loose, let’s be supportive when we win.

Aloha Ron- agreed! I was at the game and wanted to comment but was so cold afterwards that I needed an extended time to “thaw” out. I hope they get the rubber game today! Take care now. Mahalo!
