Friday’s games

Willson Contreras and David Bote each hit home runs to lead Iowa to a 6-1 win over Albuquerque. Contreras hit a two-run homer in the seventh, and is batting .316, while Bote’s solo blast and finished with two RBI. Drew Rucinski retired the first 20 batters he faced before giving up a hit in the seventh. He went eight innings, gave up one run on three hits and struck out four. Matt Murton had three hits, including a double.

Tennessee lost, 6-5, in 11 innings to Chattanooga. Paul Blackburn started and gave up five runs over five innings. Chesny Young had three hits and one RBI and Billy McKinney reached base four times with two hits and two walks.

Jake Stinnett gave up two earned runs over seven innings in Myrtle Beach’s 3-1 loss to Wilmington. Stinnett struck out four.

Matt Rose had three hits in South Bend’s 4-2 win over Lansing. Eloy Jimenez had two hits and one RBI, and has hit in 14 straight games. Ryan Kellogg started and gave up two runs over six innings. Ian Rice and Tyler Alamo each had two hits. Alamo finished with three RBI.
