#Cubs Minor League report

Friday’s games

Willson Contreras had three hits and one RBI in Iowa’s 11-4 loss to Round Rock. Jake Buchanan gave up seven runs over four innings. Contreras is now batting .349 and is riding a 16-game hitting streak. Matt Murton hit a double and drove in a run. Corey Black threw one inning in his Iowa debut.

Tennessee lost, 6-2, to Chattanooga. Brad Markey gave up one earned run over six innings. Billy McKinney had two hits, including a double, and one RBI.

Jonathan Martinez gave up five earned runs over four innings in Myrtle Beach’s 7-1 loss to Lynchburg. Jeffrey Baez had two hits and one RBI, and Rashad Crawford had two hits.

Preston Morrison gave up three runs over 5 1/3 innings in South Bend’s 6-4 win over Bowling Green. Eloy Jimenez hit a double and drove in two runs, and Carlos Sepulveda scored three runs and had two hits. Morrison now has not give up more than three runs in his last six starts.

The Cubs drafted a LHP from Joe Maddon`s hometown of Hazleton, Pa, in the 22nd Round.

Wilson Contreras is knocking on the door.
