#Cubs Minor League report

Sunday’s games

Clayton Richard gave up one hit, walked two and struck out three over four innings for Iowa in a 3-2 loss to Round Rock. Richard was making his second rehab outing. Matt Murton had two hits, including a solo home run, and Tommy La Stella went 0-for-4.

Tyler Skulina gave up three runs over four innings in Tennessee’s 9-2 loss to Jacksonville. Bijan Rademacher had three hits and one RBI.

Myrtle Beach lost, 5-3, to Potomac. Jason Vosler had two hits and two RBI. Yasiel Balaguert had two hits.

South Bend scored four runs in the eighth to post a 5-3 win over Lansing. Eddy Martinez had three hits and one RBI. Tyler Alamo had two hits and two RBI.

Jesus Castillo gave up two runs over five innings in Eugene’s 3-0 loss to Salem-Keizer. Kevonte Mitchell had two hits, and now has a 10-game hitting streak.

Mesa lost, 4-3, to the A’s. Sam Tidaback, the Cubs’ 21st round pick, made his pro debut.

Why aren’t the Cubs calling up Matt Murton??? He doesn’t strike out like all or rookies.
