Thursday’s games

Iowa lost, 11-7, to Colorado Springs. Jake Buchanan gave up eight runs over 5 2/3 innings. Dan Vogelbach had three hits and two RBI. Matt Murton had three hits and scored two runs.

The weather is making a mess of Tennessee’s schedule. The first game of a doubleheader on Thursday was suspended in the fifth. The teams will try to finish that game and play another seven inning game Friday.

Myrtle Beach lost, 13-9, to Winston-Salem. Trevor Clifton gave up four earned runs over four innings, striking out six. Gleyber Torres and Yasiel Balaguert each homered. Torres had four hits and four RBI.

South Bend beat Fort Wayne, 5-3. Casey Bloomquist gave up three runs over 6 1/3 innings for the win. Andrew Monasterio had two hits and two RBI. Eloy Jimenez had three hits and was batting .337.

Eugene’s game at Everett was postponed because of rain. The two teams will play a doubleheader on Friday.

Brian Matusz walked one and struck out five over three innings for Mesa in a 10-4 win over the Padres. Michael Cruz hit a solo home run. Zack Short was 4-for-4 with two doubles and three RBI.
