Iowa lost, 3-2, to Las Vegas. Joe Nathan made a relief appearance and struck out two. He threw 11 pitches, eight strikes. Rob Zastryzny started and gave up three runs over five innings. Mark Zagunis and Juan Perez each had two hits.
Tennessee lost, 6-1, to Montgomery. Brad Markey gave up three earned runs over six innings.Ian Happ had two hits, his 10th multi-hit game at Double-A.
Myrtle Beach lost, 4-3, to Frederick. Trevor Clifton gave up three runs over six innings for his fourth quality start of the season. Jeffrey Baez and Erick Castillo each had two hits.
South Bend split a doubleheader at Clinton. Preston Morrison took the loss in the first game, giving up one earned run over 5 1/3 innings. Justin Steele started the second game and gave up one run over three innings. P.J. Higgins had three hits and two RBI in the second game. Donnie Dewees had two hits and one RBI. Carlos Sepulveda had three hits in the two games. Dillon Maples picked up the save in the second game.
Eugene beat Tri-City, 4-2. Jose Paulino gave up one run over six innings. Wladimir Galindo had two hits and two RBI. Kevonte Mitchell also drove in two runs.
Mesa beat the Royals, 8-2. Isaac Paredes was 4-for-4 with two runs scored.
