Friday’s games

Iowa’s game against Memphis was postponed because Memphis had travel issues. The teams will play a doubleheader on Saturday.

Michael Wagner struck out seven and gave up two hits over five scoreless innings in Tennessee’s 2-1 victory over Mississippi. Kelly Dugan hit a pinch-hit solo homer in the fifth. In his first rehab game, Chris Coghlan went 1-for-3. Jorge Soler joined the Smokies and was expected to play Saturday. Ian Happ had two hits, including a double.

Trevor Clifton struck out six and gave up three runs over six innings in Myrtle Beach’s 6-3 win over Wilmington. Charcer Burks had three hits, including two doubles, and one RBI. David Bote had three hits and scored two runs.

Carlos Sepulveda delivered a walk-off RBI single in the 10th to give South Bend a 4-3 victory over Burlington. P.J. Higgins had two hits. John Williamson struck out three over two innings.

Eugene rallied to post an 8-5, 11-inning win over Vancouver. D.J. Wilson was 3-for-3 with a double and two RBI. Chris Pieters had three hits and two RBI.

Mesa had the day off and will face the White Sox on Saturday.
