What is the status of Cubs top pick Thomas Hatch?

Most times getting a answer on here is like pulling teeth.
However, I looked at all Class A Rosters and the AZL too find that: Hatch has yet to make a professional appearance.
Hatch did throw a lot of Pitches this year, that could be the reason. He may get this year off, who knows?
He was signed to a contract July 8th.
Hope that helps.

I endorse your very first sentence in spades, jasper. It should be not true, but absolutely is true.
