Saturday’s games

Rob Zastryzny gave up five runs over five innings and struck out nine in Iowa’s 9-5 win over Fresno. Iowa pitchers combined to strike out 18 in the game. Tim Federowicz had two hits, including a two-run homer. Jeimer Candelario had three hits and three RBI.

Tennessee lost, 4-2, to Pensacola. Michael Wagner gave up four runs over six innings. Ian Happ had two hits and one RBI.

Myrtle Beach scored runs in the ninth, 10th and 11th innings in a 7-6 win over Carolina. Jeremy Null started, and gave up one run over six innings. Donnie Dewees had four hits and two RBI.

South Bend gave up eight runs in the first inning in a 13-0 loss to Dayton. Justin Steele served up the runs on eight hits and one walk over two-thirds of an inning. Matt Rose singled, and now has hit in 11 straight games.

Eugene beat Spokane, 9-3. Wladimir Galindo had three hits and four RBI. Kevonte Mitchell had three hits and one RBI. Pedro Silverio gave up one run over 3 2/3 innings.

Mesa scored three runs in the bottom of the ninth to beat the Giants, 3-2. Jhonny Pereda had three hits, including a game-tying two-run homer. Yohan Matos had two hits, including a walk-off RBI single.
