Wednesday’s games

Jeimer Candelario had two hits, including a home run, and two RBI in Iowa’s 8-7 win over Sacramento. Logan Watkins had two hits and two RBI.

Tyler Skulina gave up four runs over 5 1/3 innings in Tennessee’s 5-1 loss to Jacksonville. Tommy La Stella singled in his first at-bat, but then left the game after he was hit on the foot by a pitch. Ian Happ was 3-for-3 and stole a base.

Preston Morrison gave up three runs over five innings in Myrtle Beach’s 6-5 win over Winston-Salem. Charcer Burks had two hits, both doubles, and scored two runs. Yasiel Balaguert had two hits and one RBI.

South Bend lost 8-5 to Bowling Green. Adonis Paula hit a two-run homer and Matt Rose hit a three-run blast.

Dylan Cease and Duncan Robinson combined for 7 2/3 hitless innings in Eugene’s 3-2 win over Boise. Trent Giambrone smacked a walk-off RBI single for the game-winner. He finished with two hits, including a double.

Mesa beat the White Sox, 15-7. Isaac Paredes had three hits, including two doubles and a home run, and five RBI.
