Sunday’s games

Jake Buchanan gave up two earned runs over seven innings in Iowa’s 4-1 loss to Memphis. Jeimer Candelario and Tim Federowicz each had two hits.

Tennessee lost, 5-2, to Jacksonville. David Freitas had two hits, including a solo home run. Zach Hedges gave up four earned runs over 4 1/3 innings.

Ian Rice hit a game-thing two-run homer in the ninth and delivered a game-winning RBI single in the 10th to lead Myrtle Beach to a 7-6, 10-inning win over Lynchburg. Rice finished with three hits and three RBI. Jeffrey Baez hit a solo homer. James Pugliese started, and gave up two runs over 5 1/3 innings.

South Bend lost, 3-2, to Lansing. Roberto Caro went 4-for-4 with one RBI and two stolen bases. Alberto Mineo had two hits and one RBI.

Trent Giambrone had two hits, including a solo home run, in Eugene’s 4-1 loss to Everett. Erling Moreno gave up one run over five innings.

Mesa had the day off and will face the Athletics on Monday.

Has anyone thought to look into Rockies humidor to see if they change regular baseballs to humidor baseballs? Strange they see under inflated footballs but no one looks into baseballs from a team that whines all the time !!!!!!!!
